The twist and turns through the enchanting views off the California coast on Hwy 1 are blissfully hypnotic. The trees are forced to bend towards the ocean by the constant breeze. You see this especially on the coast of Sonoma by Bodega Bay.
On one of my drives, I noticed one of the trees pointing the wrong direction. As I parked my car and sat there watching it, it slowly began creeping away from the ocean. Instantly, my mind jumped to a memory I had when I was a kid. I’m usually a cautious person, but I couldn’t fight this powerful need to put the pieces together. So there was nothing else left to do but follow it.
