Nostalgic Trees From Childhood inspire this small porcelain sculpture

This is a teaser to the workshop that I am teaching at Still Life Ceramics in Los Angeles California at their studio at ROW DTLA in downtown Los Angeles. I rarely teach workshops, but I am happy to do so for my friends at Still Life Ceramics. Join me in November 30, 2019. We will be making small scale ceramic sculptures based on nostalgia. Just bring magazine clippings, print outs, copies of pictures of your childhood, or a nostalgic and favorite thing. Come join us! I’ll show you how to transfer these images onto clay and use them as a basis for small scale sculptures that can be simply decorative or turned into small planters or jewelry.

A Pigment Which Breaths

•Ishan Project: 351/14•

It was an honor when The 4bearance commissioned me to create the 2nd element. Jeth tried on the first prototype.  The combination of the additives in the air and Violet’s terror created a dangerous toxin. We crafted an image of Anali pictured in The Euphonic on the fabric. Jeth covered his face and breathed in the scent harvested from Chaen’s flower.  The pigmentation had been created and mixed with those soft petals. The dye hadn’t quite dried yet, so he was able to absorb the sweet odor which stimulated his brain synapse. The more of these we can get out, the greater impact this would have on the populace, because even though these scarves protect the wearer, the mind stirring effect is felt by those around him as well.

Tracking Shadows

•Ishan Project: 349/16•

Violet’s insatiable appetite to please Chûndra caused her to become a monster she always feared. Aggressive, vicious, and instinctive: Her psyche was unstable now.  She tracks Chûndra’s movements as she sticks to the shadows.  She’d been following Chûndra’s activity for some time now. She now senses her Crown’s power wain.

“Now would be an excellent time to intervene,” Violet reasons.

A putrid smell became more apparent as they continued cautiously down the hallway. This scent along with the motion they heard behind this laboratory door where the Impostors had been flying was more than disturbing. As they watch them fly into the shoot, their flexible bodies shed a green substance which oozes down the door.

Inside, they could see the flying insect’s motions more clearly now. They fly around in their drunken fashion in a circle over a structure which resembled a chair. But this structure seems to inflate and deflate, pulsating as if it were drawing strength from the energy found inside of the Moth’s belly. As Anali and Preet quietly move in closer, they watch in terror as the structure arches to the side, and then forms itself upright. It was now evident what this structure was. It not only served as a hive for the Impostors, but there was a symbiotic relationship they had with some life form underneath. Suddenly they noticed, the larvae from its’ dome begin to creep backwards forming structures like scales. This leaves a hole in the dome, revealing a soft complexion of a young woman’s face.

“No, it can’t be!” Anali whispers. “Violet. Why?”

The Forecaster recovered from his scars to quell revenge on his prey. He’s unable to locate their whereabouts however.  It’s been over five decades now and his patience runs low.  He bends down over this canopy to listen closely to the wind.

Eased Persuasion

•Ishan Project: 124/241•

She’s tracking them with her birds. Chûndra knows what Rïden’s been up to. Although she’ll be unable to prevent him from getting the solution to wake Koyu, she plans on preparing her army. This time her drones won’t be so easily persuaded.
