YOUNG ANALI TRANSFIXED
(Con’t from Day 332) My heart beats quickly as he continues telling us the events that caused the Dark Sleep. His wife and daughter, Anali, were the last Chûndra poisoned. He noticed her wait awhile as she glared down at Anali, now that she’d been paralyzed. Then Chûndra turned her gaze toward him and grinned, knowing his mind was still capable of understanding what was happening. He remembers now how rough the smell of her leather sole had been as it smashed against his left cheek. His vision had already grown dark as she uttered the last few words that echoed in his mind for several centuries: “Struggling will only cause you more pain. Give in. Your power is already in my hands,” she said in monotone. And everything turned black. As calculated as she was, she missed something crucial…

An enemy has come to attack this field with a poisonous gas. This vapor was so thick it seemed like an impenetrable wall. It would require effort to slice through this wall. Consistent effort. As her body arches through the air she begins to gain momentum. A curious bird watches as the velocity of her movement creates a sharp burst of energy which slices through this monstrosity.

A PROFILE OF ARAM
When Chaen died,” Aram tells me. “I felt as though I’d never connect with another person like I did my twin brother.
Although he was quirky, he always would figure out a way to make me smile. Although I was the one who was always making the most noise, he felt like he needed to protect me. After going through a deep depression, I was determined to never allow that to happen to anyone I cared for again.”

Buried in the folds of your mind you can tell there is something different about today…but what? Then we forget. A kind vapor has been oozing into the atmosphere in small doses over the past few years. It’s starting to permeate the crevasses of the earth. I’m not sure how long this has been happening. We don’t know where its coming from yet. We are pretty sure, though, about who is behind it.
